Ode to the Dime
Dearest Dime, why have I beget you?
I pass you multiple times a day, and leave you be time and time again.
You’re lovely, radiant, and shiningly true.
Dearest Dime, I need you.
That time has come when I am scrounging around,
Looking and pondering and mulling about
To find me some money to end this drought.
Coke Zero I want - though vending machine replaced,
Dearest Dime, will you help in my haste?
I need to collect six and a half times more of you.
I must Occupy this quantifiable amount, you hear!
This pizza would be much better with fizzes,
So call your mothers, your fathers, yo sistas & yo brothas,
And together we can Occupy the vending machine of life
Bringeth’ing forth my personal vice.
Dearest Dime, I love you.
