in Just- by E. E. Cummings

I was reading this article earlier in which poetry was discussed and it reminded me of all the poems I like, so I am sharing one with Tumblr. This specific poem is stylized so that the message is efficiently conveyed. He speaks of childhood and changing into the person they were meant to become, somewhat jaded my society. Any short description I give here will not give it justice, but if you’d like I can send you the essay I wrote on it as it is more than thorough with it. Enjoy.

 in Just-
spring          when the world is mud-
luscious the little
lame balloonman
.
whistles          far          and wee
.
and eddieandbill come
running from marbles and
piracies and it’s
spring
.
when the world is puddle-wonderful
.
the queer
old balloonman whistles
far          and             wee
and bettyandisbel come dancing
.
from hop-scotch and jump-rope and
.
it’s
spring
and

.
balloonMan          whistles
far
and
wee
